On Discernment and Company
अधीत्येदं यथाशास्त्रं नरो जानाति सत्तमः । धर्मोपदेशविख्यातं कार्याकार्यं शुभाशुभम् ॥
adhītyedaṃ yathāśāstraṃ naro jānāti sattamaḥ | dharmopadeśavikhyātaṃ kāryākāryaṃ śubhāśubham ||

“By studying this text as prescribed, one becomes a knower among the best. Discerning what is dharma and what is not, what should be done and what should not, what is good and what is harmful.”
In Modern Life
Knowledge alone is not the goal. Discernment is. The graduate who can recite frameworks but cannot tell a good deal from a bad one has wasted the degree. Read to develop judgement, not to collect facts.
